A day off ahead

July 24, 2008

Im going to take a break – got some University work to complete.

Not got any awsome hands to post from yesterday  – but overall the play was OK:

Played 42 of 10 man Omaha 8B PL Turbo 3,40 – won 8, second in 3, third in 3.
Played 8 of  18 man Omaha 8B NL Turbo 3,40 – second in 1, forth in 1.

Today is over

July 22, 2008

Vill “All the chips are going to that guy on left”
Hero “Yes, well you did play Ah2h”
Vill “Well I did right click Sit Here after the chips started moving over the table ……. I dont get it”

Today’s session is over, recovered a little. Tomorrow is a day off – I booked myself into that PS 2x 40% WCOOP bonus at cap too – $239.99 bonus 400FPP’s away.

But, as I approach 500 games my spreadsheet tells me, aswell as being up $229, iv paid $206 to the rake.

P/L +$229.50

It’s all going wrong

22nd July - going wrong

22nd July - going wrong

So I didnt post yesterday becuase I was on anger mode button pressed!!!!!

I had stepped back from the 15’s to the 6’s as below…..  Great fun… was doing ok – then hit a horrid 10 game slump!

So tonights session purely (so far and will be) Omaha 8B 3+30 10 man’s *AGAIN* – going to have to take a few more days of these stakes before stepping up….. and this time to 6+50, when im happy to lose 20 x 6.50 at that stake! Variance pwned me.

I blame the credit crunch though – stupid banker people. (My sharkscope is ruined!)

Current P/L: +$227.30

Ok, so confirmed bad idea to quiet play aces

Another $6+50 gone! Sigh.

But me think how many cards were ’safe’… not many – but more than 25%!

Well still not going great… but there might be a glimer

July 20, 2008

Nearly at the end of this session, even after stepping to 6+50 Omaha 8B im still struggling.

I just lost a tournament in 4th – from being being leader, to null.  I guess I cant blame the cards completely! Im just not on form.

Though the tournament im playing now might go better – especially if they’re all as stupid as the two nutcases below (second hand) and I have as much luck dodging!

I was only playing this hand quietly as early position hoping for a raise. Should do this more if I find these guys again!

That stepup did not work out so good

July 20, 2008

So,

I dont think im *quite* ready for 15+1 Omaha 8B turbo yet, I did some 6+50 Omaha 8B turbo before stepping up and they were going OK – but all in all lost $80 at 15+1 – I think a bit more practise at 6+50 first and a larger bankroll required.

Though I did win one, second in another, and bubble in two – so I wasnt a huge fish, but my bankroll at the moment wouldnt be able to take much more than loss of $150 comfortably!

Shark Scope

Shark Scope

This summer I started playing poker a little more seriously.

I played just less than 400 $3+40 Sit n Go’s Omaha 8B’s on Stars and made about $325US (about 4 weeks work).  I would have made more money working at mcdonalds.

The sharkscope below shows – it bought me back to even.

Now iv stepped to the $15+1 to try and make some money…..

Lets see how bad it goes….
